The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a benefit offered by one’s employer to help them deal with personal challenges that could affect an employee’s health, relationships or job effectiveness. Whether the issue is large or small, an EAP representative will work with you to design solutions in the areas of a fulfilling relationship, healthy living, work/family balance, recovery, financial stability, sound mental health, personal growth and professional success. The EAP can help you head off an issue before it becomes a problem. It can also help you manage life events such as marriage, divorce, the birth of a child or retirement. Wingard Counseling Services participates in this program by receiving referrals from insurance companies with contracts with area employers, as well as provides onsite EAP services at the employee’s place of employment.
